Wayne, we have been disillusioned with “the church” in our new town in Chard, Somerset, England. We moved here 2 years ago. We thought (Chris and I) would try and see if this was different, but no. So the past six months we have been waiting on the Father and seeing where He is working.
Through this church, they started a free English Language course for the Portuguese people who live and work in the town.
Although not part of the church anymore I volunteered to help. Just thought the Father was leading me, but didn’t know why
It has been 4 weeks now of this course. We meet Saturday mornings for 2 hours.
This week one of our Portuguese, we will call her Amanda, said her husband, Rodriguez, was in Portugal renewing his passport and would be back Monday, 15th November. I asked her if they had any fellowship meetings in Chard. She said they met every other Saturday.
She related that while Rodriguez was in Portugal, he had a vision/dream on Wednesday of a black woman crying in desperation and sitting in the ruins of her house which had been razed to the ground.
He went the next day to his pastor and related his vision/dream. The pastor told him he knew such a woman. When they visited her she was weeping over her home in ruins. Rodriguez wept that the Lord would reveal such things to him.
I came home just now and wondered if the Father was in this.
I have just searched the lifestream Web site and found that some of your works are translated into Portuguese. Amazing.
Now we want to know where the Father is working in this situation and how, where and if He wants us to join Him in this work. If so, how we can use your Portuguese resources. We are open to His leading.
