A Conversation with Wayne Jacobsen

Yep, that’s me! Earlier this spring I was invited to a discussion about living loved with people in Anderson, Indiana who had been reading The Shack and some of my own books, He Loves Me, and So You Don’t Want to Go to Church Anymore.

This conversation covers so much of my own journey. my participation in the publication of The Shack, and some of the current challenges in my own life. The organizers of the event, Lives Transforming, video taped the event and have made it available on their website. We are considering making this into a CD so small groups can use it to stimulate their own discussions about their spiritual journey and how these books have touched their lives. We’ll have more on that down the road.

You can view the video on-line here.

  1. Great stuff, thanks for sharing your life journey with all of us. I appreciate your humble approach as you share. I found it interesting how you confess that at one time you were driven to be more famous than Chuck who? 🙂 And then now God has lead you on a different unplanned journey where you have now achieved a level of fame… yet you share that with the fame comes some unique difficulties.

I pray that you can retain your humility as you encourage God’s children to enjoy His love. And I pray that despite the distractions that the fame has brought, you will still find joy in His presence as He leads you along this journey. Thanks for sharing your life with us!

    God Bless!

  2. Ditto what Jon said.

The greatest influence on my life has been what God has been saying through you, Wayne. When some said, “Going to church is the answer,” and others said, “House church is the answer!” Father was speaking through your life to say, “Listen directly to Christ – only He knows the answer for you right now.”

Thanks for being, more often than not, a true mirror of His heart.

  5. oops….hit send too quickly….I was saying..

Not through all the Q and A yet but I am greatly enjoying it. You are a blessing to us! You’re the same in front of a crowd as you were at our kitchen table. How refreshing.
