Please bear with me here, because this is going to take some time to develop and I don't have much of that these days. I did want to include it in our new menu, however, so that I wouldn't have to rebuild the site again to get this out.

As I travel around helping people sort out their journey of learning to trust Father and live freely among other believers and in the world in a way that makes Jesus known through us, I have noticed a number of eye-opening realities that God reveals to people so they can walk freely in him. These are the 'gets' of the journey. "Getting it" is not just intellectual understanding, but actually a bit of revelation from Jesus that opens our eyes to a whole new way of living.

I find them fitting into five categories that can help people discuss the journey and recognize what God is doing in them. Mind you, this is not a formula it is simply a way of helping people recognize what God is doing in them. While these categories represent how these revelations flow together, we must be careful not to see them as an artificial process we can impose on ourselves. "Getting the journey" is not a matter of studying certain concepts, but of living your life through the Father's eyes. These things are taught not in lectures or books, but caught as you see God's hand guiding you through the twists and turns of your daily life.

The first section in this process is called:

• Living Loved: No longer trying to impress God or earn his favor, we are free to live in the love he has always had in his hearts toward us.

These others will be added in weeks ahead:

• Growing in Trust: The more we can rest in the reality of his love, the more we will find ourselves trusting his work in us instead of the agenda we want for our own lives.

• Finding Freedom: The more we connect with God's purpose in us, we will find ourselves living in greater expressions of freedom from the power of religious obligation and manipulative people.

• Shared Life: This growing freedom will finally allow you to experience healthy relationships with other believers where you can freely share God's life together and experience other facets of God's person as he reflects it through other fellow-travelers

• Incarnating God's Love: Having found the freedom among God's family to share God's life and how to put the interests of others above your own, you will find yourself being an expression of God's life in the world. He will make himself known through you to acquaintances and strangers in ways that will astound you.

As I get them done the ensuing pages under this menu will over more specific information on how God can grow us in these areas and point to some of the other resources on this site that can help illumine God's working in your life to lead you into ever greater depths of his life and freedom!
