The Jesus Lens DVDs have arrived and we will be working to get out all the pre-orders this week. Thanks to so many of you who have ordered in advance. We are excited about this 3 DVD package that will help people read the Bible with greater appreciation for the unfolding story and find one consistent view of God that runs throughout. This will help set you free to live in his love as well as glean wisdom from the Bible and know him better, rather than see it as a list of religious obligations. That's not why God gave his his Scriptures.
This fall Lifestream is releasing three new resources to help people growing on this journey. First, THE JESUS LENS will release in video on October 10. This eight-hour DVD collection is designed to help people interpret Scripture with a greater appreciation for the full story. Second, A MAN LIKE NO OTHER, the full-color, 128-page, coffee table book with paintings from the life of Jesus by Murry Whiteman and text by Wayne Jacobsen and Brad Cummings, is designed to help people capture a portrait of Jesus without the religious overlays that have been added to him over the centuries. It should be available around November 1. Finally, IN SEASON: EMBRACING THE FATHER'S PROCESS OF FRUITFULNESS, is Wayne's rewrite of his material of growing up on a vineyard in Central California encouraging people to live in the simplicity of each moment as God fulfills his work in us. It will be a 288-page paperback and available around the first of December.
Back from vacation and ready for a new week ahead. We finally put to bed our new book, MAN LIKE NO OTHER, written with Brad Cummings with original art by Murry Whiteman. Should be out by the end of October. This book is a piece of art that will stir the reader with the reality of Jesus' life. I can't wait to share it. Next week it's off to Australia to visit lots of new folks there...
Sara and I are going to take a much needed vacation for the next two weeks and as such we regret that the Lifestream office will be closed during that time. We will still have access to email and voice mail, but will probably not be responding to anything that isn't critical. I hope you can appreciate that we're a pretty simple operation here that doesn't have a staff to fill-in when we're gone. We may be able to ship some orders during the second week, but that has not been all worked out yet. We'll be back on August 15, however, and will be able to assist you at that time. Please forgive us for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Wayne will be heading down under for two weeks in Australia. It has been over five years since he was last there and will be traveling in areas he has not traveled before. He will start in Toowoomba in Queensland for a weekend retreat (August 24-28), then spend a couple of days in Brisbane (August 28-29) before heading down to Adelaide (August 30-August2) and then a weekend stop in Sydney (September 2-5) before returning to the US. Watch Wayne's Travel Page for details in those locations they become available. We are still working on the schedule in each city.
We have begun to release Wayne's latest teaching series called THE JESUS LENS. It is designed to help people understand how to read and interpret Scripture as the story of God’s unfolding revelation of himself in the world and resolve the seemingly conflicting passages about who God is and how he is rescuing humanity. The first session of twenty-four has been posted, and subsequent ones will be posted on the blog, or you can subscribe through iTunes.

Rainbows In Your Eyes. We are offering a new book from a young writer in England who penned some lovely language to celebrate a life in God in the midst of a brutal tragedy. I hope it encourages you as much as it did me.
We are back! Had a great trip to England and met loads of wonderful people all over this journey of living loved by the Father. So nice to be home.

JUST POSTED: Wayne and Sara's recent sharing at a marriage retreat in Pennsylvania at the end of January has just been added as a free download from our Audio Library. Look for "Living Loved in Marriage." Unfortunately there are some technical glitches in the audio, but you can at least follow what was shared.
Wayne will be in Kenya meeting with a group of churches from throughout Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda from February 14 to March 3. Please pray as you might be led.
FREE: Two new audio recordings from my time in South Africa, answering some of the key questions I'm asked after people listen to Transitions or read HE LOVES ME have been uploaded to our Audio Page and included at the end of the Transition series. I hope these will help people better understand the essence of the Gospel and an incarnational approach to Scripture that climaxes in God's revelation in the Son—The Word Made Flesh!

Sara and I are getting away for a much-anticipated vacation with my daughter and her family. We have been looking forward to this time of rest and refreshing. Unfortunately, since we are the only two people who keep things going around here, we will be closing our office for the next two weeks. We will have someone process orders every few days during that time, so your order may get delayed somewhat. Also, we will not be keeping up with phone calls and emails during that time. If you can possibly wait to get hold of us until after June 8, we would appreciate you waiting until then. I don't plan on updating the blog during this time unless something major arises. I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes for the many people who frequent this site, but we are long due for some time off. Thank you for your patience and consideration for our family during this brief break.

We are excited to release new audio versions of He Loves Me and So You Don't Want to Go To Church Anymore produced by Oasis Audio with new packaging. He Loves Me also includes new material found in the Second Edition. At the same time we regret to announce that we have run out of Tales of the Vine and will not be reprinting that book. We will be repackaging that material in 2009 or 2010 as a daily devotional. Watch for details here.
We have added two more chapters to the Russian translation of He Loves Me. Now we're up through chapter 10.
